Yeah, that was a drumroll. Obviously. Because, I got my review! To be honest it came a little soon, because I know I don’t have a lot of content up :[ so now the review was a tad short. But nonetheless very helpful so I'm totally improving my site. That's what critique is for, right, improvement.
With all the typos it might seem like I don't care but I do proofread. I read my pages from time to time. I don't know what's up with that, but some mistakes you just stop seeing, especially if you made them yourself. So I think it's a good idea to have others read.. so thanks for that!
Anyone wanting to read the review: read what Rhiannon - PetShopGirl - has to say about my site!
Moving on, because I seem to have troubles. First, what Rhiannon said. What is up with this site not being seen on a Mac?! I never knew about that problem though -___-. And second, why does it load so extreeeemely slowly? Or is that just me? I think my server is being a -something- and not cooperating well. Does anyone else have problems? Maybe suggestions on how to solve these problems? Is it WordPress that makes my pages load so slowly? Either way, I'm planning on solving this, hopefully soon!!
Right now, I'm moving all my fivehundred links to a, how surprising, links page. I heard people enjoyed my links, and I know I enjoy my links, so I'm keeping them all. Kind of like that online bookmarking I don't want to join. I'll just keep my daily visits on one page. Simple.
The question is, however, if I will make the page in WordPress [like I'm doing with all my pages, now] or seperately, because it seems to load faster. We’ll see about that.
That time out thing is really worrying me though, because I don’t think it’s the images. Perhaps it’s a software miscommunication somewhere. I discussed this with people before the review and now with that on top of it, I’m a little clueless.
About the handwriting: is it me or when I say "messages" the right verb would be "look" and not "looks"?
Screencaps, well, I took them anyway – so why not share them? There are screencaps site out there that have heaps more than I do! Maybe I’ll lock them away on my graphics journal. Yeah. That’ll do. End of discussion, because at the end of the day I can’t make anything if I have to stick to the rules. That’s just how it is! I take screencaps to make graphics, so there.
Yes, this has always been an issue, so while I lock the screencaps away, I just want to say this. Most graphics out there are eviiiiil and copyright infringement. Even if I’m someone that vows for original copyright, I also enjoy graphics. It’s hard to track down what belongs to whom. When I save images [oh sue me] I don’t write down the source or url. Perhaps I should. Only if I use the images though, because keeping them on my computer is just fine. See how this gets confusing, or how people get lazy? Yeah. Teh Interwebs is a bitch. At least when I make graphics, I don’t ask credit. That’s the least I can do, because in the end I did put work into these graphics. All I did was just forget who the original copyrightholder was. This is how I solve it. And in the world of GeeJay or ElJay that isn’t a bad thing. Most graphicmakers, however, make graphics [copyright infringement] and then ask for credit [more evil]. To quote Marilyn Manson, "I’m the better of two evils".
As on the content on the books and music, yeah, it’s there. I have it. Somewhere. See, I’ve written reviews and stuff but I’ve been too lazy to put them online. Or my visitors should just visit another journal of mine and read it there.
That’s it! I’m still thinking about more, and original, content, so I’m sure it’ll get there someday. Just.. bear with me!
