Mood : creative Tv : Some cooking programme
I know I say this everytime, but I’ve taken up on [extensive] real-life journaling again, too, so why not do better at my virtual journal? Hmmm? It only makes sense to me. Oh and maybe I could scan some of my stuff, and show you guys. I like seeing other people’s journals too. I found this great community with tons and tons of inspiration and I’m hooked. I might post there one day, so why not here? I’d say, definitely keep an eye out!
So. Since my last update I’ve done some nice things. Such as making stuffies [more about that later, I'm sure], visiting friends and going to Pukkelpop. Pukkelpop is a music festival that takes place every summer, in Belgium. You might have your own local equivalent. Here in Holland that’s Lowlands. I’ve been to Lowlands before and this year it got sold out, plus Pukkelpop’s lineup was tenthousand times better, so my friend and I went there instead. It turned out to be simply amazing. I wrote an update on that when I came back [it was from last week Wednesday til Sunday] and debated posting it on here, but it would simply be too big. I’m not going to say much about Pukkelpop anymore, but I have to just mention this. Seeing Tool and Nine Inch Nails live has made me their biggest fangirl ever [as if I wasn't a big NIN fan before hahaha] and all I ever listen to and talk about anymore are these two bands. I have been listening to 10,000 Days [by Tool] a whole lot this week, singing it whenever I’m not listening to it and talking about it to everyone, even if they don’t even know anything about Tool. Simply amazing. I mean, those shows were out of this world. It was night, there were amazing lightshows, but it was just the music that wrapped me in and I don’t know? Took me somewhere else? Yeah. I’m just pleasantly shocked. And I know that if I ever end up being in a band, doing that [wrapping people up] is what I want to do. It’s magical.
This weekend I’ve been cleaning up like mad. My room is a terrible mess but I’m cleaning up and cleaning up and cleaning up. Actually making progress. Feels really good! Though I’m too chicken to go and post before and after pictures, haha!
Speaking of my house, we’re going to have someone rent the room next to mine. Actually, she’s moving in tonight. Though she’s staying in the guest room since the room is not done yet. I never lived with housemates that weren’t family or Muffin, so I’m pretty excited. I was anxious, but now I’m excited – seeing as this girl is pretty much amazing! And okay, I will have to clean more often [which is good] and put the stuff in the bathroom on a shelf instead of just anywhere, but that’s not bad. It will actually create more space in the shower. Once everything is settled I’ll show pics of my – uh, our – bathroom since I’ve been artistic lately and it’s funny.
So yeah, I did some work on some of the pages of my site. One of them being the Street Art page. I’ll spare you the click and tell you that all I did was just add a link to my Street Art album on Flickr so that page doesn’t get any longer. Here’s that link, by the way. And speaking of my Flickr, neglecting that was a bad idea seeing as I now have to catch up on three months worth of photos. In my book that’s thousands of photos. Mehhh! On the other side, going through my stuff is good seeing as I’m building my portfolio [off- and on-line] and I need to delete worthless photos too. I’m pretty excited about buying an old style Russian film camera but decided that I can only do that if I go to photo school. And I’ve been wanting a Lomo [supersampler] for some time but that will have to wait too. Because I obviously have not found a school yet!
The final thing I’m going to say is that I have hard discs problems. Again! Now my external disc just quit working. I’m pretty pissed about that as that disc holds everything that was somewhat important, like backups of my sites and my documents and things. I just hope it’s only the case the disc is in, and not the disc itself, that is broken. But yeah, I was working on all my fanlistings, moving them to this domain, updating them to Enthusiast, etc etc and I was almost done with all that when my disc quit working and decided that now I’m screwed again! Ugh. So now I’m working on Muffin’s old computer, which will be mine and I’m just hoping he can somehow bring back my hard disc! Seriously. Will I ever have a normal computer? Lol.
