Today, I got a lot of things done, if I say so myself. So I’m making this promise, I VOW HERE AND NOW, that I will also make a new layout. And helloooooo Opera, why don’t you want to see my ‘temporary layout’? It’s so weird! Either way, I’ll be back!

Once upon a time, I was mourning.
OH MY DAVEY I am so sad today, it’s like there’s no end to this pain. Muffin and I just went out to buy dinner, and we had to cross one street. One. And there’s a tramway in the middle of the street, cars going both ways, but the street isn’t that long to cross, only a few meters. So what did we do, we crossed halfway, but then cars were starting to come from both directions and I decided to run the last bit. My two phones [I have two phones since I have two sim-cards, one for the Netherlands and one for Belgium, one phone isn't mine but I borrowed it because Muffin put my old Sony Ericsson in the laundry machine. It's somebody else's old Nokia 3410. The other phone is only a month old and a new, fantastic, super pretty, Sony Ericsson s500i.] fell out of my pocket. The lame part in this is that before we went out the door, I doubted “Shall I take my Belgian phone?” but because I’m in the middle of moving and had made an appointment with the landlord and I also have exams, I felt that if somebody would call me, it would be better if I picked up. So I took it with me. In my pocket, of my jacket, and not in a bag. I should just have put it in the bag, damnit.
Either way, the phones both fell, we had crossed the street, I yelled “OH NO MY PHONE!” turned back and saw the big blue Nokia lying there halfway, cars started passing by [and not slowly, not trying to avoid my phones obviously] and Muffin did the brave thing of returning the big blue unharmed Nokia phone. Then it hit me “SHIT MY OTHER PHONE! WHERE IS IT!?” and because it’s so stylishly black nobody saw it. Then when we spotted it, a car came by and avoided it, Muffin was ready to go take it and I was just gasping, half screaming “get it! aargh get it!” half having my hand over my mouth going “oh no oh no oh noooo”. Only two cars or so passed and I don’t think any harm was done, but there was no room for Muffin to pass, he would’ve been hit, so he waited for another car and then obviously that one car had to go and do the whole “CRACK” thing. We just heard the phone cry. Muffin took it, handed it to me. No scratches or whatever, no cracks, no visible signs of broken-phone-ness. It wasn’t crushed or broken into pieces, all the buttons were okay. But the screen! Oh that poor screen! Crackly and dark. No vivid, colourful background animation. A black screen of doom with weird stripes and cracks [I think the plastic did crack but you can't feel it or see it, only when you slide the phone open to activate the screen something becomes visible] and oh, the poor thing.
We just tested it, and I can be called, I think. So that’s at least an upper but I’m just so sad because it was only a month old and I love it, and not to mention all the pictures and videos that are on it. I think those can be saved since there’s a memory thing in the phone. But oh, the contacts! Not that I had so many, but I had important ones, like my landlord. Oh poo. Just one major poo. I hope something can be done about it. Yegh.
The other thing I am super bummed about is Heath Ledger’s death. It’s all I’ve been reading and thinking about since I found out last night. I kept on hoping it was a joke. I can only think about the people close to him and how sad this is, such a tragedy, he was so young and with so many things ahead of him. :’(
I was so sad about that, and my stupid phone that obviously had to make this day worse, that I just bought a heap of comfort food at the store. Ugh. Not that it will make me feel better but oh well. I wasn’t really thinking. Just more like “I don’t care what I eat. I want chocolate. And smoothies. And this bag of chips. And this. And oh, this.” Consumerism at its best. sigh. I hope your day has been better!
PS. obviously I bought Vanilla Yofu. I discovered that a few days ago. It’s super delicious! Some optimism, huh?
Once upon a time, I learned to crochet!
I really don’t get the way it’s pronounced in English. Yes, I get it, but I don’t the reason why. Probably because I don’t know the reason why. LOL.
Anyway! Instead of doing something useful today, I went out and bought cotton [no wool, since it's just nicer for the sheep and the people with allergies] and a crochet needle, and then spent hours to figure out how to crochet in rounds and not have the stitches too loose and stuff. So now that I know most of the basics, or think I do, it’s time to crochet things! Like a hat and scarf but most importantly: amigurumi!
If you don’t know what that is, look it up, because it’s too damn cute. Here’s public photos tagged with "amigurumi" on Flickr, so you can have some visuals. Toooo damn kawaiiiiii!
Oh, yeah, I’m totally into learning myself things now. Including Japanese. Slowly, slowly. Haha. But it’s fun. I totally love kawaii stuff. Even if it’s pink – alright, only soooometimes, I shouldn’t push it, obviously! – and that says a lot!
Maybe I should start using tags? I don’t really know. Hmmm. Let me think about it. And I don’t like this theme and I should really get to make another. And do some homework. Oooops.
Once upon a time, "Wooooow."
Oh my DAVEY. Can you BELIEVE it? I managed to not only upgrade Wordpress but also make the broken links work AND get rid of the never-ending "index.php" aaaand now I have to just get rid of a ton of non-used [and outdated] plugins, get some other spiffy ones, and get a new layout! Just like I wanted, only a bit late. Haha. Damn.
I mean, I can’t believe I never updated about my twentieth birthday, or going to Paris and getting my first brand dress [that's somewhat important in Lolita, okay.] or going full-time Lolita [well, I try, I try]. Or celebrating Christmas.. and New Year’s Eve.. oh my!
What’s more important though, I am finally moving to Belgium! So my whole "dot-be" is completely justified! Haha. Okay. Anyway. I’m sure nobody reads this anymore, so I’ll just grab a theme somewhere, twist it and go and visit a heap of sites. Woooooow I’ve been so out of the loop!
BUT I’M BACK. Tada!
