Yeah, that’s right! I have "bangs" as they say in America, or "a fringe" as they say in the UK. The dutch word is "pony", but in Belgium they call it a "froufrou" [I hope that's the correct spelling]. I don’t know how my posts always end up to be semi-language-lessons, but I guess I just like to communicate with a lot of people and felt the need to explain the word "pony". Haha. I also have other ponies, but you know. This is a different kind of pony ;)

I’ll show pictures in a second. First, I wanted to apologise for my lack of updates recently. The problem is that’s it been exam month [which means nothing interesting happening to blog about, or just no time to blog when I did finally get out of the house to do something] and that the charger for Nymphadora is dying. Actually, I think it’s pretty dead. Which pisses me off, because now I’m on Muffin’s laptop and it’s running on Windows and blaaah. I want my own stuff! My own little desktop and Apple-goodness. But no… no charger means no battery life means no time for all that. Boo.

Second, I did go back to my dad’s house in Rotterdam, where I found my old photos! I made a CD-compilation of old photos from 2005 til early 2007 before I moved to Belgium, but they never moved with me and now I’m soooo happy to have these back! I was missing a few photos from 2007 and that made me sad [cause I just wanted to make a Day In My Life post with those]. But now I have them back and I get two more years of photo-goodness! That’s been a total blast, going through those CDs and just laughing at all my crazy stuff. Crazy hair, crazy clothes, crazy bracelets… you name it! Parts of me wants to share some of those photos since they’re just so hilarious, but another part of me is a little bit ashamed, haha. I did share a few on LiveJournal though, and might make another [few?] posts with the hilarity of my life, so if you have LJ, come on over! Haha.

So on to pictures of my face as it is right now! With a pony!

Thumbnails for joy, more after the jump!

Looks cute, no? Bleaching the sides. Sadface. Smile! Cherrybear with a hidden smile.

[Note: I'm not a fan of the 'read more' thing, but you know how much I like big-sized photos in things. So I'm warning you now: there's 16 photos of the process of my shaving, cutting and dyeing my hair! And then some more photos of the result. So 25 pics, eep.]

My hair is everywhere
I started shaving one side of my head.

One side done!
Done with shaving one side.

The other side, eww hair.
My hair looked like this before shaving. Ewww!

How about bangs?
I decided to try something new.

Looks cute, no?
I think it looks supercute, perfect for Lolita!

More hair is everywhere.
And so more hair was added to the mess. Can’t believe all that was still on my head before I started this. I’ll never let Muffin influence me anymore! [He wants me to grow out my hawk, and tells me long sides look good. Yeah, RIGHT! It looks awful, and I'm never letting that much hair sit in my head again!]

Bleaching the sides.
Because I don’t want to touch the roots of my ‘mohawkhair’ [which is my 'new' hair, since my hair has been dead from all the bleaching and colouring for so long] I decided to bleach the sides.

Adding colour to my head again!
Finally! Time to bring colour back. I couldn’t bear being colourless.

Work in process.
Here the colour is ’setting in’. I decided to go with red and purple.

Tada! Colour!
Another step done! That red turned out pretty great!

Dutch manual thinks I'm dumb.
So my ‘mohawkhair’ was getting this cherry-colour from a different kind of dye and these were the instructions. It reads: don’t point the tube towards your face when you cut off the tip. Hahaha. Duh!

Are we done yet?
Waiting for that dye to set in… Ladedadedaaaaa.

Oh noes!
Oh noes! Something went wrong!

Sadface.
See, that red had some spots of something darker! Booo. Sadface.

The other side.
While the other side has no spots and looks so fresh and clean!

The end.
My sink with all the products I used. Phew! Done now!

Yeah, it takes some time and effort, but I like having my head look nice. I hope you enjoyed that I documented it for once! Haha.

And now photos of me with the finished product. Out and proud with my ‘new’ hair! :D

Cute, yes or no?
Vief loves Gent.
Smile!
Wonky eye approves.
Cherrybear take two.
Cherrybear with a hidden smile.
Yes, I photoshopped this one pretty obviously. But I like it. It does make the ‘cherry’ look more red though, so here is the original.
Puricute!
And some puricute to emphasize my Asian-ness. Lol. I think this pony looks awesome for head-eating bows! Love it!
