Yesterday, on a very sunny Saturday during the Easter holidays [which, we actually decided should just be called Spring holidays] a little part of the Belgian Cupcakes met in Leuven.
We walked around town, where some festival was going on: we were not the only ones all dressed up! It was pretty fun, traditional clothing, music, dancing… yet I still don’t really know what it was.

All in all, it was a really fun day, even if we were just four and we didn’t have waffles or crepes, as planned. I did have a huge sandwich though, it had to be kept together with sticks, haha! It was really handy, so everything stayed in place and I didn’t have to squeeze the bread all the time. Sticks are awesome ;)
I don’t have outfit shots since Hilde took those, but I do have some photos to show what our day was like. When people had to leave, we took photobooth photos at the station as it is now our tradition! It’s always super hectic but hilariously fun. The photos that come out are very cool too, I loooove photobooths. I wish I could find an old school one, cause it seems that all the new ones are pretty low-quality webvams. But oh well. It’s still nice, and the thought that counts!
Anyway, enjoy the photos. :D

If you click on a thumbnail, you’ll go to ‘gallery view’. I love this now! You can easily click previous and next, and go through all the photos easily. Yay for gallery-ready-themes!

Oh, and maybe I should explain what the Air Kraken is? Hilde is more of a Steampunk enthousiast, so when I celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, she told me about the Air Kraken. Check out the links on this page if you are interested in the giant squidlike thing that flies. Hilde’s tiny Kraken is supercute though, so instead of letting it fly, we just let it sit on our heads. :D [Hey! I found a different link, which might be a bit better at explaining what that cute little squidthingie is.]
Last but not least, here’s Hilde’s set of photos on Flickr!
