Too bad it was nothing like a musical! But it was kind of fun. It was a reunion, my school is OLD, like, 40 YEARS OLD! And so they decided to ask a lot of ex-students to come back and celebrate. I’m only ‘out of high school’ since 2007, so it didn’t really feel like reminiscing to me, just like an “oh yeah, that person!” and “hey, how are you doing?” kind of vibe.
I traveled all the way from Gent to Rotterdam, and spent the night walking into familiar faces and talking about what we’re doing nowadays, and how fancy the new toilets are! Yes, us girls really know what’s important in a school building
Huge bathroom mirrors, automatic taps in the way more convenient sinks… Haha!
Apart from "why where the toilets never this good when *I* was in school?" I don’t really have much to tell. I am glad I left that place, and I am also glad it will take a few more years before I go back again! It was fun to see all those people again, but it’s really that kind of thing that take a while before it is fun again
Sooooo… old school… so you in a few years!

Sounds like you had a blast
Yeah, it seems like right when I leave my school for good, they always improve/fix/replace something. GAH.
I absolutely adore your outfit in that picture btw. Especially those boots, I want em!!!!

Schools are weird that way, huh! They never improve while you’re there… or very slowly… and then when you’re gone, POOF! haha. I have the same thing with my current school, actually.
Thank you!
Unfortunately I don’t know where the boots are from since I got them on a fleamarket.

Aw, that’s great that you went to your highschool reunion, even though you only got out a few years ago! XD;
A question, did you dress lolita at all back in school …? If not, did anyone mention your new way of dressing?
And holy Hell, those lockers are tiny! o_O; What the eff are you supposed to fit in them, a pencil case?! Geez. o_o;
PS: I love love love LOVE your layout’s header. It’s freakin’ adorable!

I didn’t really dress Lolita until I left school, or well, I had my first ‘ita’ dress right when I graduated
And after that, I didn’t dress Lolita daily on my new school either, it took me until around Christmas, when I got my first Baby, The Stars Shine Bright jumperskirt.
Before that, I always wore a big mash up of things, kind of no style at all. I won’t even dare to call it ‘fruits-y’, but that is where I got my inspiration from, nonetheless.
So since everyone had only seen me in one ‘kind of’ Lolita dress, they did indeed mention how I looked. Some say I’ve changed a lot, others say I’ve changed, but still dress “differently” like I’ve always done.
Sorry that that’s such a long response, haha!
And yeah! Tiny lockers. I could fit my gymclothes in there, some books… but never two bags and a coat, only just the gymbag and coat. It was always a hazard if your locker was under someone else’s, because of the things falling out immediately when you opened them ^_^;;
And thank you!!

I’m still studying in the same school since I was 6 years old and now that i’m in college, i’m still there! And yes, it feels weird seeing the school evolve right before your eyes. What more if you left if for a couple of years, no? Hehe.

Whoa, that must be weird to be in the same school from little kid to college! But even then, also kind of fun to actually be there for the changes.

I left high school about 8 years ago but I don’t really feel like going back for a reunion or something. I lost contact with those people a long time ago and we’ve gone our separate ways since then.
I have a few of them (those who I hung out with most) on my network sites but even then we don’t talk much or post messages so it would be weird to go there and still have nothing to say.
Maybe I feel differently in 10 years time.

I think it’s more fun, the longer you’ve been away, because you’ve grown up more and you’ve done more interesting things to talk about? Haha. When you’re fresh out of high school, your attitude doesn’t really change all that much.
I hope if you do decided to go in 10 years, that it’s actually worth it.. I know how awkward those kind of things can be!

Sounds like a cool visit. I always find it weird to go back and visit something like that. Maybe there’s a correlation to nice bathrooms and you not being there? Haha just kidding!

Yay, I’m open!
Anyway, I’d hate to go back to highschool for a reunion any time soon. Albeit, it’s only been a year since I left, but it’d take about fifty years before I’d wanna go to a reunion, lol.

Well it’s always good to have a reunion I suppose ^^
But I guess it’ll be much more interesting a decade or two later…
