Obsessions

I’m a fangirl. I like people in bands, movies, etc… but I also like to fangirl over fashion or food. And why yes, this is mostly an excuse to post pretty pictures of pretty and awesome stuff. Hurrah!

A Capella music

Known for: lovely harmonics

There are multiple a capella groups out in there in the world, sharing their musical magic through the internet… and I love spending my days looking and listening. Please never die, a capella music.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch

Known for: having a funny name, being awesome as Sherlock Holmes

Yes, I am a little bit obsessed with Cumberbatch. But come on, have you seen his work? He is clearly a genius.
Other than being absolutely bloody amazing in Sherlock [see below] he is also a brilliant voice and stage actor and if you need more convincing, he is also very good at dancing.
I’m sure he is honoured that I’m using his name on facebook. ;>

Being Human

Known for: vampires, werewolves and ghosts

There are two versions of this brilliant TV-series and I love them both. Put three supernaturals in a house and BAM! Instant good television.

Cameras

Known for: picture taking super powers

I have a lot of love for cameras. They are like magic boxes to me. You fill them with film and you do magic things to them and then with the power of light, BAM, you get a photographic image. I will never get tired of cameras and photography… ever.

Dos

Chris Dos

Known for: being a bassist for Anti-Flag and playing guitar and singing in White Wives

Dos is the reason why Anti-Flag’s live shows are energetic. He’s also pretty funny on his Twitter and blog. And he’s just very sexy ;D Some people are turned off by him when they see Anti-Flag live, but I think it’s great that he feels this passionate about things to want to share them with as many people as possible. He’s a very intelligent and creative dude, it’s not a bad thing to share smart things and keep the community spirit alive.

Concerts

Known for: awesome music in real life

Concerts are the best way to experience music. I especially like concerts where you can get close to bands, close to other people, dance, jump, have fun!

Davey Havok

Davey Havok

Known for: being a lead singer in AFI and Blaqk Audio, making sparkly shoes and clothes.

Davey is awesome, end of story. He’s the reason I say “Oh my Davey” and the person we celebrate on Davey Day. THANK DAVEY FOR DAVEY!

Disney

Known for: animated features, real people movies, shops, music, a tv channel, parks…

There are a lot of downsides to Disney as a corporation but I friggin’ LOVE a lot of their animated movies, characters, shorts and music. Disneyland is one of my favourite places to be ;D

Doctor Who

Known for: time travel, space travel, Time Lords, Daleks and Cybermen

Doctor Who is one of the most amazing British TV series ever made and if you’re not watching it yet, I don’t know what is wrong with you.

Éire

Known for: green landscapes, cold weather, fun people, great music

Ireland is one of my favourite countries in the world. I’ve visited on my own for three times, and two times with friends… I can never get bored of this beautiful island and its lovely language.

Froyo

FroyoKnown for: being very tasty and frozen

Froyo is short for "frozen yoghurt" and I can’t explain the magic of frozen yoghurt if you’ve never tasted it. I somehow really really like this frozen, smooth, dairy product that can be combined with fresh fruits or sweets. Or mochi. Or another flavour of froyo. The possibilities are endless! [Not-so-fun-fact: there is no place to get frozen yoghurt in Belgium. Booooo!]

Hello Kitty

Known for: being a Japanese cat-character

Hello Kitty is one of those characters that just has their face slapped on something and it gets instantly cute-ified.

High School Musical

Known for: funny movies

HSM is my favourite non-guilty pleasure. The characters are fun, the songs are catchy, and I don’t even think I have to convince a lot of people of the greatness of HSM because it’s obvious a lot of people like it. Yes, even people over the age of 12.

Lolita fashion ad from GLB 38

Lolita Fashion

Known for: being a Japanese streetfashion.

Lolita is sometimes viewed as a fashion, sometimes a subculture. For me, it’s very much a lifestyle. I don’t want to confine myself to one style, I like the fashion as a whole! Sweet, classic, gothic, I think it’s all fantastic. There’s no day when I don’t think or talk about Lolita, for sure.

Macarons

Known for: deliciousness

Tasty little pastry thingies from France, crunchy on the outside, tasty on the inside… Also very good as jewelry or printed on a dress. Macarons are soooo good!

Muffins

Known for: being yummy cake-things

Muffins are fun to draw, date and eat. There are so many flavours that I love, it’s too hard to pick. Added extra points if warm. Mmmmmmm, muffins.

My Little Pony

Known for: cute little pony-figurines and merchandise.

Who doesn’t know My Little Pony? Anyway, I LOVE PONIES. In fact, I collect them. However, I must say: old school ponies > newer ponies.

PEZ

Known for: sugary candy and fancy dispensers

I have to be honest: the candy is just a load of sugar which isn’t that amazing. What is amazing is the dispenser. You can collect all sorts of them, from Disney figurines [okay, I have mostly Disney figurines] to Star Wars to Hello Kitty to whatever. They’re brightly coloured and fun.

Purikura machines

Photobooths

Known for: capturing fun times with friends on film

Whatever the time, whatever the place, whatever the type of booth: I love me some photobooth! It’s always fun to be in one! Even though the purikura-booth and resulting picture is the epitome of all things photobooth, I don’t discriminate. The only kind of photobooth I don’t really like is the kind where it’s not really in a booth. [And yes, that includes the computer-type stuff. It's just less magical.]

Rilakkuma

Known for: being a zen bear

Rilakkuma or Relax-bear is a Sanrio character with a bear friend and a duck friend, whom I really like! I don’t really like the bald men that’s supposedly inside of him, though.

Sherlock

Known for: oh come on, surely you’ve heard of Sherlock?!

The BBC decided to put Sherlock Holmes in a modern day setting and it has been an instant hit. There are only six episodes but they are BRILLIANT.

Torchwood

Known for: being a Doctor Who-spinoff, Captain Jack Harkness

Although it isn’t currently on television, Torchwood is a series that has taken over my heart. I love me some aliens and Captain Jack Harkness just can do no wrong. [Actually he can, by killing half of his team, but, hey...]

Travis Barker

Travis Barker

Known for: being a drummer for Blink-182, Boxcar Racer, (+44), and other bands. Having a reality show on MTV, owning awesome cars and having his own clothing company Famous Stars and Straps.

Ah, Travis. I’ve been a fan of his for a loooooong time. We go through ups and downs as far as my obsession goes, sometimes it’s very heavy, lately it’s been cooling down a bit. He seems to be a very nice guy and above all a very good musician and clever entrepreneur.

Wicked

Known for: witches singing

Wicked is the musical revolving around the witches from Oz. It has music by Stephen Schwartz and it is a-we-so-me. I’ve seen it in London two times, and I keep listening to the soundtrack all the time. Like I said, it’s awesome!

Yofu

Known for: being very tasty

Yofu is dairy-free dessert. It’s a wannabe-yoghurt [hence the Yo, and fu is for "tofu" I guess] made from soy, but it’s better than regular yoghurt because there’s no dairy in it and it’s taaaasty and ah, I love yofu.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron

Known for: being an actor

It started with HSM and continued with Hairspray and 17 Again. I like Zac Efron cause he’s a good actor and often-times very good looking man. I like to "torture" people by making them watch movies that he’s in. I think Zac Efron should wear blue for 85% of the time [he already does so, anyway] because it makes his eyes mesmerizing. I don’t know how he does it, but I think wearing blue clothes really help.
