Past layouts

I know I like this section more than the text part of "about this domain", on other people’s sites, so here you go!

Rainbow socks [mid 2009 - 2010]

A variation on the Plain Warrior theme. I actually still like this theme a lot. It was a very simple but straightforward theme, and I made it so because it was very easy to read and show photos on. [The preview pic is a bit wrong because I had some widgets installed and stuff.] Anyway, the photos in the header are of my own legs and socks. The font used if my own font, Yofu. Too bad I didn’t really blog much in this period, haha, it was a cute header.

Mmmmuffin-Mandigo [mid 2008 - mid 2009]

This theme was a tweaked version of the Mandigo theme. I put mmmmuffins and little bows eveywhere! After a while I got the emoticons to work again. So like with the Dead Nasties, I made little mmmmuffin-emoticons to go along with the theme. ^___^ [Note: this preview pic also don't show the true sidebar as it was when I used this theme.]

Love Like Winter [february 2007 - mid 2008

This layout features Davey Havok and a house, from imagestills of the video for Love Like Winter by AFI. The few words on the header are lyrics from the song. The rest of the layout has snow and soft blues. 14 February is Davey Havok Day, and it was still winter, so that's why I chose these images. I kept this layout for way too long though. [I still used the Ice-Bat emoticons until the emoticon plugin stopped working.]

Dead Nasties [january - february 2007]

This layout features Ice-Bat, the Ugly Doll that I bought on my holiday in France. Funnily enough the pictures were also taken during that holiday, and when I came home I was still so in awe I had to use these pictures. If you look closely you can find Moxy, too. The text comes from a book called "Dead Nasties" [hence the title of the theme] from the comic Outlook:Grim. It’s about this girl, Wren, who invites ghosts from the other side to her house. I found it very appealing and funny, and of course very suitable for my personal website! [I made my own Ice-Bat emoticons for this layout.]

Smiley socks [september 2006 - january 2007]

This was the real first striped-socks.be layout. I used a theme from Neuro, called "Last Regrets" and gave my own feel to it. I was pretty proud of it, to say the least, I liked the stripes obviously and it wasn’t too white, plus it featured my very own smiley stripey socks! The great thing about this layout is that it’s all sorts of accessible and valid and whatnot. It allowed me to expand my css knowledge and resulted in my only using these kinds of layouts from then on.

Greeeeeeeen

When I first started striped-socks.be I had another very green layout, I tried to use php but I wasn’t great at it, the blog was not the main page and the header was awful, just like the font I used for the links. I don’t have a picture of it saved and to be honest I don’t mind.
